Kris is a designer, founder, and lecturer, and a Masters candidate at Stanford’s Design Impact program.

He is passionate about using design to have a positive impact on people’s lives, especially as it relates to design ethics and the global mental-health epidemic.

He got his start in strategy at Firstborn New York, where he worked with clients such as Michael Bloomberg, Mountain Dew, L’Oreal and AARP.

After returning to Latvia, Kris co-founded Overpriced and White Label, and developed them to be the two leading design and strategy studios in the Baltic States.

In addition, Kris established and taught undergraduate classes on Brand Design and Portfolio Design at the Latvian Academy of Arts between 2016 and 2019.

In his spare time, his passion for education, design, and technology inspired him to build Yelo — an educational app that helps people learn to drive.

Currently, Kris is is pursuing his Masters at Stanford’s Design Impact program where he minors in Desigh Ethics, and is always happy to chat.
